Updates to Web Mobile Preview

It’s been a great week, with everyone so excited about the web mobile preview, and we’ve been working non stop to finish up.

Tonight’s updates just went online. There’s a laundry list of minor updates and tweaks, but below are the two primary improvements.

(In case you missed it the first time, connect to the preview at https://m.passpack.com – and leave any feedback in the dedicated forum)

1. Passwords List Pagination

Yes, you can now view more than 15 entries at a time [wink].
Go forth, flip pages, and be merry!

2. Big Steps Ahead in the People Tab

We’ve completed the profile page for the single profiles in your People tab. You can also manage inviting new people, checking their invite chat history. And – for those of you who haven’t done so yet – you can now activate secure sharing directly from your phone.

Thank you Beta 4 Testers

As we’re gearing up for the Beta 4 final release, I just wanted to take a moment to thank our testers. In no particular order:

Recover your Passwords from your Browser

Since PassPack‘s new Beta 4 release allows bulk importing of passwords, this may be of great help to you to get your passwords out of your browser, and into PassPack.

Passpack Beta 4 Public Preview is Online

The Preview is over – Try the Real Thing here Thanks to everyone for your patience and feedback – priceless! A special thanks to our Beta 4 testers.

Working Around the Clock (and IE6)

The two items which held up the Beta 4 Public Preview last Wednesday were the Anti-phishing Welcome Message and some visualization bugs with Internet Explorer. Just a quick update: the first has been solved, and the later is at a good point.

Italian Press Coverage

Italian journalist Emanuele Quintarelli‘s interview of Nicola Mattina appeared in the popular Italian webzine Apogeo online.

Standardized Password Policy?

I came across an interesting article/rant this morning. At first I thought it was the usual “I hate the password policy”, but the post brought up an interesting point.

Development Update

First, a huge THANK YOU to all those who found time in their busy schedules to test out the new Passpack and give us your feedback. You brought up some very interesting points – invaluable, I’d say. Here’s what we heard:

Anti-Phishing Welcome Message

Passpack defined an anti-phishing mechanism which allows you (yes you) make sure you are connected to Passpack, and not to a malicious copycat website.
