Wondering why we didn’t mention this last week? Well, maybe… we… um, didn’t notice right away that we’d been nominated [yikes!]. Apparently we’ve been working too hard on the upcoming autologin improvements. Ok, so you go vote and we’ll keep coding.

Some web accounts are meant to be shared, whether with co-workers, clients you’re providing access to, or for tech support. Passpack [...] offers a more secure way than emails or Post-It Notes.

One smart thing about this system is that as the sharer, you can turn off that access whenever you want. [...] If you’re sharing passwords with an employee who leaves the company, you can pull off his or her access to those passwords immediately.

By using Passpack’s Secure Sharing feature, you securely can send [your clients] the passwords in a neat and tidy list — no more insecure emailing of Excel or text files.

Mind the Bridge

You may remember Passpack’s announcement of it’s first round of seed funding and since the start up world is a crazy race forward, we’ve already started thinking about our next round of funding and one of the first events we plan on participating in is Venice’s Mind the Bridge Venture Camp on October 10-11.

Passpack is officially one of the Fall 2008 Mind the Bridge finalists. We have been holding our breath for the past 2 weeks and news came in that Passpack was chosen, alongside 13 other start-ups.

Passpack Goes National – on MSNBC

We posted Passpack’s appearance on NBC-TV which aired in a few cities including Detroit, Palm Springs and Charlottesville, but guess what? MSNBC’s Tech Watch talked about Passpack too and this time it went national! If you didn’t get a chance to see it…

Passpack in the Google Gears Meme

The Google Operating System blog posted about PC world’s disappointment in lack of Google Gears apps, and replied with a list of the important applications that are using the Gears plugin. Passpack was mentioned for our offline version. We’ve been getting quite a bit of attention today as a result.

This Italian financial newspaper gave front page space to password fatigue.

Passpack was featured in the call out box of password managers with a lovely color photo of our homepage (warms my heart!).
