New Feature: Bulk Edit

Passpack’s Secure Sharing has been a hit so far, but we’re not stopping now! We’ve rolled out a new bulk editing feature today.

Bulk editing is in it’s earliest stages. So far we’ve activated the option to delete many entries at once (you’ve been asking for this for a while). Soon to follow will be the ability to send or share multiple passwords at once.

Bulk Edit

To activate Bulk Editing, go to your Passwords tab and scroll down to the link under your Tag cloud:

  • No paging
All of your unpacked entries will appear in a single, long list.
  • Quick Filters
Use the quick filters panel to find what you’re looking for quickly.
  • Sort columns
Click the up and down arrows to sort by name or last modified date.
  • Select checkboxes
Check one by one, or with select all, none and inverse shortcuts.

Delete, Send, Share… What else would you like?

    :) Yup, tagging.

Tags are nice but a folder structure with n levels of subfolders would be even more helpful. Keep the tagging and searching but this would finish off the usability for storing lots of account information.

Yes, i also agree on batch tagging, but having a folder structure will not be a bad idea …

ps. Ho iniziato ad usare PassPack dopo la chiacchierata con Francesco allo Smau Padova…

    @Chuck @Rami
I have to evaluate the case. Maybe it is possible to use tags to generate a folder-like structure.
    I will think about it.

You can assign depth values or you can create hierarchy between tags but I think this and folders in Passpack is a really bad idea. Tags do more and better than folders IMO.

May be improved tag filtering/browsing might help. For example sequentially clickcing tags may result in items which has both(or all clicked) tags.

I concur with Burak that tagging is a much better way to categorize and retrieve information than folders. In my opinion, folders would unnecessarily clutter the app rather than improving on it.

    Cheers, Giuseppe

Yes, bulk changes to the security level would be really useful…
