I really love Passpack. Thanks for updating the contract for the financial details in free accounts.

I'm currently moving all of my passwords (using the import too, of course) from another password manager into Passpack. I would love it if there was an offline Windows Mobile version Passpack to use... It's the only thing keeping me dependent on my former password manager.

Regardless, I'm sure to upgrade to a Pro account soon so that I can support Passpack and increase my number of passwords. Keep up the great work!

This service is great. Of course I newer read any limitation. And I am absolutely sure that this service is more safer than any alternatives. First I used 1 PW for one of my bank for 7 years. I never had any problem. Now I have to enter an ID and a PW that is in my case is actually 6 words long, then comes this unpack key that 5 words long. Even I have problem to type them in. But I don't believe that we can do more than this.
Rather I think the problems are coming from a different direction. Namely banks sites entry is getting more and more complex and no uniformity at all. At some banks you have to sneeze 3 times before you enter PW. Others asking you to recognize the photo of your future child as a site key. Some ask ID and PW on the same page others ask you on different pages while they check that you are on your knees or not when you type. I guess Banks at this moment has no interest to work with any PW manager service.
Any take on this? Any blog about these?
Thank, Mike

@Jerry
Nothing in the technology has changed. It was safe before, and it's safe still. The only difference is from a legal/contractual point of view. We removed a contractual limitation on free accounts. We removed it because:

(1) many people didn't even realize the limitation was there
(2) we had no real way of enforcing the limitation since we have no idea about what people actually have in their accounts
(3) we believe that should Passpack completely free for consumers, while paid upgrades are for professionals and businesses... but having this restriction on free accounts only (dang lawyers!) meant going against that philosophy.

I hope that makes sense.

Wait a minute...
Was my financial data NOT safe through a free passpack account before, but now it IS safe?
Not exactly sure what this means.

@Deltapi - Thank you. On the activity monitor, yes, this will be a Pro feature (I think). The gadget will come out together with mobile. and #3 is new to me... will add it to the suggestions list.

If you have more suggestions, this will help us keep track of them: http://help.passpack.com/suggestions

bye :)

Hi Tara,

well done.

I'm impressed with Passpack current features.

again I'm asking if we'll see something about:

1) activity monitor (much more like that one of gmail)
2) secure passpack gadget for igoogle (or netvibes etc)
3) automatic command to open some favourite starting tabs set (I log into Passpack and the rest just pop up in some tabs).

bye bye.

Oh no! Don't be sad. We'll be adding tons more features to the Pro as well. But if you want to be refunded, that is 100% an option. Just write into http://help.passpack.com and we'll get it taken care of ASAP.

Oh,ohhh-kay.

Now, what of the users that converted over to Pro due to the financial limitation of the Free? I'm first to admit I chose PassPack to store my myriads of financials (giving a big leap of faith as well as blind trust) based on going Pro as an added feature to utilize storing financial credentials.

I'm a very satisfied user, but a little piece of my happy emoticon broke off.
