Hi

Love the site and just become a paid up member, but one thing that does concern me slightly is that login to Passpack should be 2 factor. Yes it could be argued that you have to have 2 separate passwords in order to login, the account and the packing key, but it wouldn't hurt to incorporate a second factor like a hardware token or sms. I wouldn't suggest doing it for free but Paypal sell their random number generators for £3 so you might be able to do something similar.

The two factor system is the only viable way to avoid keyloggers from compromising you, no av is perfect and you have to be logged in to generate disposable codes.

As for the mobile version I'm not sure how that's going to work unless you make the device id the packing code, because tapping it in on a mobile will be excruciating!

What do you think?

"We plan to accept OpenID in lieu of the User Id/Pass combination while logging in to PassPack."
Hopefully this feature is still planned? It is not absolutely required, but would be convenient in many cases. Also, it opens Passpack to immediate compatibility with other authentication mechanisms such as secure certificates or telephone based, which are offered by some OpenID providers.

Hi,

If possible, an easier way to login will be great (without compromising security).

Thank you.

Oh, and more storage space for the free accounts..

RE: <i>"..can associate more than one OpenID with your account?"</i>

That's not a bad idea. I'll look into it. Thanks!!

@Tara (feb. 14)-
There are two questions here perhaps, first will PP accept other login forms like google or yahoo, and also if you can associate more than one OpenID with your account?

What it means is if you have 3 OpenIDs like blah.myopenid.com and blah.livejournal.com or blah.openid.yahoo.com you can associate all of them with your account. This has become pretty standard in OpenID authentication, which leads me to hope it will be available in PP as well ;)
